William Kentridge’s Triumphs and Laments

Rome’s biggest contemporary art work was unveiled on April 21st 2016 with great festivities and will be visible for years to come on the walls of the Tiber riverfront. Launched by the local non-profit organization Tevereterno Onlus, for which I served as Director since late 2012, the work was an extraordinary team effort with a list of credits to rival Hollywood productions.

The mission of Tevereterno is to reactive the Tiber in the heart of Rome. It is a multidisciplinary cultural project dedicated to the establishment and ongoing stewardship of the first and largest public space for site-specific contemporary art on Rome’s urban riverfront, called Piazza Tevere.

After the success of the project, I stepped down from my position as Director so as to pursue other projects.  I continue to support its mission and, for the present, serve as a member.

Feel free to contact me for presentations or further information on this great place-making project in which I was fortunate to make part.
